date January 18 2007	RFP -- Call for Poem: Permanent Public Art DEADLINE EXTENDED: JANUARY 26TH, 2007 The Friendship Development Associates (FDA) is seeking an original poem that will be engraved on four new public benches to be installed at Baum Grove (400 Roup Avenue). We are now able to give out prizes for our poetry RFP! First prize: $500 and engraving of poem on the benches at Baum Grove. Second prize: $100 Third prize: $50 Submissions • One original four-line poem (a quatrain) • The MAXIMUM number of characters for EACH line is 60, including spaces and punctuation. This count does not include the author’s name. • One entry per person • Submissions by mail only. Mail to: Call for Poem, Friendship Development Associates, 5530 Penn Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15206. Electronic entries will NOT be judged. • Submissions must be postmarked no later than January 26, 2007, or they will not be judged. • Each submission should contain the following: o Cover page with author’s name, address, phone number(s), and 100-word biography o Three copies of the poem on single-sided 8 ½ x 11” paper. Do NOT include the author’s name or address on these sheets. o Two stamped self-addressed envelopes For complete RPF, please see attached file.
