New Lights at Baum Grove!
Using Elm Street funds the Friendship Elm Street Committee contracted with Outdoor Lighting Perspectives of Pittsburgh to install architectural lighting in our beautiful park.  The plan includes up lighting all 12 trees around the perimeter of the park, both paths across the park, the back wall, the sign, and up lighting the tree in the center of the park. ...

The state has a new web page featuring information about where to find park n ride lots, carpool information, bike commuting information, and a transit calculator.  It can be found by going to the PennDOT website (http://www.dot.state.pa.us/) and clicking on "dump the pump" on the right hand side.

Many thanks to the CMU staff and to the eight undergraduate students who participated in the 10 a.m. - noon cleanup of Stratford Avenue on Saturday, August 25.
