135 S. Aiken Community Garden

The Grow Pittsburgh people have gotten a small grant to help people in Friendship think about the potential for an urban garden. I have agreed to let them use 135 S. Aiken lot for one year. We can test the idea for a year and see if the community is truly interested in maintaining a community garden. To learn more about the project or to get involved, please see the letter below.

Waldorf School of Pittsburgh Spring Spruce-Up

Join us on Earth Day, Saturday April 21st, 10 am - 2 pm
All ages welcome. We will be removing non-native invasive plants, raking leaves, hauling brush, pruning deadwood, picking up garbage in the area, etc.
The following items will be useful: Please bring gloves, tools and garbage bags. Useful tools include wheelbarrows, shovels, hand pruners, loppers, hedge trimming ...
