Friendship Flower and Folk Festival

date May 01 2008	On Saturday, May 10th the birds will be singing, the flowers blooming and your neighbors will be swinging at the annual Friendship Flower and Folk Festival!  The event this year promises to be as good as ever with folk music, fresh flowers and good times!  Jam to folk music featuring acoustic, folk, and bluegrass music from many of the best local performers!   Get your garden started and purchase beautiful, locally-grown plants, heirloom vegetables and special Mother's Day Baskets.  All proceeds benefit the maintenance of Baum Grove.  Enjoy all day long events sponsored by Friendship Preservation Group including delicious grilled food, the ever-popular book sale, and an awesome raffle.  Live demonstrations by the Animal Rescue League, Health Works, PA and Urban Farming Initiative.  Cool kid stuff too, including a towering rock-climbing wall, and street room for wheels!
