New Lights at Baum Grove! Using Elm Street funds the Friendship Elm Street Committee contracted with Outdoor Lighting Perspectives of Pittsburgh to install architectural lighting in our beautiful park. The plan includes up lighting all 12 trees around the perimeter of the park, both paths across the park, the back wall, the sign, and up lighting the tree in the center of the park. Installation have been completed, so swing by Baum Grove to check them out! Outdoor Lighting Perspectives of Pittsburgh can be found online at www.outdoorlights.com. The ES committee would also like to thank Day Automotive Group for the ongoing donation of electricity for the new Baum Grove lighting! Neighborhood Bulletin Boards to be installed soon Chris Rhodes will be installing Friendships new Bulletin Boards by the end of summer! The ES committee worked through a design process with Chris over the past few months resulting in an attractive, graffiti resistant design that will be lit at night with solar power. These bulletin boards will be constructed of colored concrete, steel, and an innovative posting material that’s translucent! *See below for a sketch of the Bulletin Board Design Porch Grants for 2009 Friendship Development Associate's Elm Street Manager, Henry, has been working to formulate a program for porch restoration grants for 2009.
