Exciting things are happening and growing around the Pittsburgh Montessri School! Grow Pittsburgh has started several vegetable beds between the two fences along S. Graham, the new Serviceberry tree is settling in well, roses are blooming and yes- the weeds are thriving too! Pittsburgh Montessori is looking for volunteers to help out with the tidying, watering and weeding of the school garden beds. The Peace Garden, raised beds around the outdoor classroom and beds around the playground are all in need some tender love and care. Please join them Sunday morning, July 27th at 10am. Their goal is to to try and do this for the next several weeks. Please let organizer, Chris Gardner, know if there is an alternate time that would work better for you. Please bring tools if you have them, if not, there will be several tools available for use. Friends and family are welcome - the more the merrier!
