Dear Friendship Property owner, Thank you for your interest in our street tree program. The Friendship Development Associates is proud to be the continuing recipient of residential reinvestment funds via the state wide Elm Street Program that will make planting street trees a reality. As you know, there are many benefits reaped from planting trees – they shade our homes and streets, purify our air, and increase property values. Friendship Development Associates is partnering with the City of Pittsburgh’s Forestry Division to plant trees in the City right-of-way. This is part of our commitment to revitalize the Friendship community. In our urban environment, young trees need assistance. As a recipient of a street tree, you will care for a shade tree planted on the right-of-way near your home. With your help in providing water, the tree will become a beautiful addition to the neighborhood for many years to come.
