Communications and Community-Building Committee
Community building is a field of practice directed toward the creation or enhancement of community among individuals within a particular neighborhood or with a common interest. It is sometimes referred to as community development. We are dedicated to bettering our community through staging events where neighbors can interact with other neighbors, our elected officials, and business owners in the area.
The Communications and Community-Building committee (CCB) is always looking for volunteers who want to give back to the neighborhood. We see building community as a means to increase social justice and individual well-being and to reduce negative impacts of otherwise disconnected individuals. We are currently looking for volunteers to help with event planning, marketing, and writing articles for local print and online media.
The CCB committee meets on the first Tuesday of each month at 6:00 pm at Friendship Perk & Brew, located at 300 S. Pacific Ave.
The 2019 co-chairs of the CCB committee are Ellen DiBiase and Victoria Haggerson. To contact the CCB co-chairs, please email .
