Allium 'Millenium,' also known as ornamental onion, sports 2" globes of purply-pink blooms on tall stems in mid to late summer over clumps of deep green, flattened, grass-like leaves that arise from the soil line. Prefers full sun and well-drained, moist to dry or sandy soil. Allium 'Millenium' is clump forming and does not spread about the landscape. Chosen as Perennial Plant of the Year in 2018 by the Perennial Plant Association. Deer, rabbit, and drought tolerant. Great as a cut flower.
